Scadutree Fragments is trash game design
What are you doing Fromsoftware? Mandatory collectibles, seriously? This is what you came up with to balance player power versus enemy power?

They do not force you to explore though. There should be enough on the areas you will explore anyway in order to finish the dlc. You will be fine with 25-35 out of 50.
Are you trying to say that average players are fine fighting consort Radahn on scoobydoo level 10?

His jump attack at the start when you enter the arena takes about 60% from you health away if it hits you when you have scadoodle level 16 (as was my case) while wearing the talisman with the highest damage reduction (I think it's 20%).

So people should be fine with level 10-12 in your opinion when you have dozense of threads and comments criticizing that boss? You can't really be serious...

Some normalization of leveling needed to exist for DLC to make it appropriately challenging for everyone for end-end-game - so this additional leveling mechanic was good idea IMHO.

What I don't like is it's implementation. In confusingly complex vertical world of DLC with so many dark places (+ very irritating vignette/aberrations filter) and masking foliage/fog, makes scadutree fragments so easy to miss. I miss just one fragment to have level 20, so currently I am combing DLC map in search for it :) THIS should have been done better. Especially since end-game boss is intended to fight with level 20 for "average Joe" non-souls players like me ;)

There is a lot of diminishing return when it comes to scadu level. Also I said 12-15, but who is counting. There isn't as much difference as you think between level 12 and level 16. According to the wiki, it is about 5%.

Luckily found the last missing one in front of the Marika statue in Castle Front, obfuscated by glowing lanterns and world shadows ... Probably totally missed it there while fighting with mobs on the beginning of dlc playthrough. And perfect example of issue I mentioned - with so much "visual noise" in DLC it's so easy to miss this most important element of dlc leveling mechanic.

Now completing revered spirit ashes :) I simply don't want to finish this DLC :) :)

Ohh, Great Ranni, your consort speaking ... Please allow us a power to eradicate those Frenzie Flamed zealots of Elden Ring. They are just not giving any chance for a constructive critique discussion on forums and they must be wiped out in order to reach perfect Age of Stars.

The only complaint I can really give about the scadutree fragments is that maybe there should have been more of them than you needed, so they’d be overall easier to come across for leveling.

Though, it is interesting going into the DLC on a second playthrough and seeing just how many you can grab before really doing any of the dungeons or bosses.

So essentially what Nintendo did in Breath of the Wild with its overabundance of Korok Seeds so players will encounter several of them no matter where they went.

Basically. Since the idea is for Scadutree fragments and Revered Spirits Ash to emulate going off and collecting gear and levels in the base game when faced with a difficult boss. But whereas almost anything you did would aid in that regard in the base game, it feels more arbitrary in the DLC because now what are essentially levels are a specific item you have to find, and searching areas without one starts to feel like wasted effort.

This game is not made for you. Miyazaki has made it very clear that their games are hard and will remain hard. He and Fromsoftware do not care about your opinion, because they do not make games for you.

Every single DLC they have made has been this hard. Even if you leveled up, you would still die in three hits, and the bosses have a million health. If anything, the scadutree blessings make it easier because now you actually have an option to get stronger. They are not hard to find either. I'm at level 18 with the blessings without the help of a guide.

My advice is, don't buy a game that is clearly not made for you. These games are hard and will always be hard, and if you come to this community with a scrub mentality, expect a bunch of comments that tell you to git gud, because that's what we've been doing for the 13 years or so

I know this is old but wtf are you on, a game being hard has nothing to do with this, also, miyazaki might not give a ♥♥♥♥ but its still valid criticism lmao, it doesnt make the game immune to it, but the main thing is you dont seem to know how to tell something apart from being tedious or hard, one thing is having a hard move set on a boss that requires learning and a few hours of trying, the other is searching for the same item over and over again in a boring dlc area that is mostly empty with not much to do, it is also extremely time consuming and hard to find, even with a guide it is extremely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring because there are 50 of them, you might enjoy exploring empty land on your horse for 40 minutes only to find 2 scadutree blessings but i sure dont.

Agreed. This is just necroing an argument that's already circled a billion times.
Don't tell the fan boys that, they've been eating shoe polish for so long i don't think they have a brain cell or drop of honesty left. These system have been around for year, hint their referred to as parasitic systems, and their already barley tolerated in games like Desinty. So consultations this game inspires to be almost as good as Destiny.

Skadoos make you overpowered. Even an RL1 with a few makes you delete bosses https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnQUz9mJvrY

Even if you just grab the ones along the way to bosses you'll be more than fine
