Block this, punk.
Or the Claws of Night. It's claws with a skill that still staggers and bleeds if you evade it.
Dodge this, punk.
Too bad like every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard boss in this dlc either doesn’t care about fire or is comically immune to it (looking at you messmer and Midra)
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I could barely get through the first minute to find out the name of the weapon. I want to try it out now. But yeah, my main is faith and I usually specialize in fire magic/weapons, and so far a bunch of DLC stuff is fire resistant. Which is fine for balance sake, considering that nearly everything in the second half of the base game is weak to fire, except for the obvious fire giant ( which still gets destroyed by blackflame tornado ).
wouldnt say its OP, but deff really strong
Fire Knights Greatsword.
Queeleighs Greatsword(not a greatsword)
Falx(Great bleed potential)
Death Knights Longhaft Axe(Personal Fav)
Bloodfiends Arm(Is just OP)
Smithscripts Spear(Great for cheese)
Staff of the Impailer(For throwing only, moveset is too slow to use normally)
Madding Hand(Just insane stagger)
Among the new weapon categories, all of them are pretty good, with the exception of the throwing blade, which is just trash.
(non-somber weapons)
- Black Steel Greathammer: It blocks frighteningly well, and it's block counter hits in an AoE with pretty good poise damage. This weapon eats poise and is constantly greedy for more.
- Backhand Blades: Pretty good, and pretty fun to use. The Swift Slash AoW for it makes it pretty scary.
- Dryleaf Arts: weighs almost nothing, and lets you rapidly attack with martial arts. Leaning into this by giving it Cold infusion is gleeful fun, and giving it the Whirlwind AoW you find just makes it even better.
- Fire Knight's Greatsword: It's moveset is great, it does great damage, and it retains a bit of fire damage no matter what you infuse it with.
- Smithscript Greathammer: There's just something tremendously fun at throwing a giant hammer at someone, and having it return to you so you can do it again.
(somber weapons)
- Onze's Line of Stars: If you enjoy a more actively attacking playstyle and wanted the Moonveil to have a more aggressive moveset, here you go. It's triple teleporting slash AoE is just mean, and supports Int builds very well.
- Death Knight's Longhaft Axe: I kinda fell in love with this weapon, and it does much more damage than its AR would suggest. It's AoW lets you teleport to an enemy while hitting them with lightning so they flinch for a moment, and follow it up with a heavy downward slam with the axe. It's really, really good.
- Greatsword of Solitude: Besides doing monstrous damage baseline, this is the only Str-scaling weapon with a ranged ash of war that just scales off of Str, as far as I know. Besides that, you can follow it up with a heavy attack for a very nasty one-two combo. I've used this weapon to kill many of the DLC bosses.
- Sword of Darkness: It's a normal straightsword, but its AoW does pretty massive damage all around you in a pretty good area.
