I missed a rare item!

In the darklight catacombs, I killed the giant cannonball thrower before going down to his platform, now the rare item he drops is floating in the air and I can't reach it to get it. I will lose the item forever now, only sadness ahead.

It might have automatically pooled into your loot or you can go back after you hit the grace.
The item if you're curious is it's summoning Ash.

Probably just an ancient smithing stone. Is what i told myself after experiencing the same as you.

I also missed this in the exact same way, I've heard it's the upgrade flower used to get a summon to +10

so for yall who experience this the way to fix it like many older from games is to quit to title and relog in. It will place the item at the spot where the enemy originally spawned.
