It's not hard, it's broken.
You don't have time to summon anything, this trash boss jumps on you right when you enter the arena and will keep charging at you with its 1km wide collision box.
It's just buggy. Like what is going on. Literal dice rolls near as I can tell.
Roll to see if my dodge works. Roll for how much damage this attack does THIS time.
Roll to see if he just shoulder charges you out of existence or does his 7 hit chain.
I got him to like under 10% on my 5th try. I've gotten him to phase 2 like 3 times since then. Usually I just die in 10 seconds to RNG.

First attempt: Dodged his charge. 95% damage to my health.
Second attempt: Literally stood still with my ♥♥♥♥ in my hand. No inputs.
No damage. ZERO. NADA. Still knocked down though.
I guess it's doable, but holy crap was it not remotely satisfying at any point.

That said, I didn't spend hours on him, I took 5 attempts, probably mostly cause I had 14 scadutree blessings, but I also had 8 flasks left when I beat him. I actually dodged the charge attack the last 4 times he did it by sprinting diagonally forward and then dodging. What I disliked about him, on top of the charge attack (which even though I seemed to be successfully dodging, nothing about why I dodged it was intuitive) is that a lot of his moves seemed to just leave him far away (especially the charge because I don't think you can dodge that backwards, at least not with medium roll), and probably like 30% of the damage I dealt was just because there's certain moves he has you can dodge with backhand blade's ash of war with low enough cd to dodge the next hit in his combo, but if I wasn't using backhand blade I'd have to wait or hit trade.
It felt kind of like I was waiting for him to do some slow punishable move and then I could hit him like 6 times in a row (since he'd usually follow those up with his combos, and as mentioned I could dodge parts of them with backhand blade), and I just bursted him down in like 45 seconds total when I got several punishable moves. Felt sort of like, learn the gimmick and he's easy (in my case, it was dodging the charge attack, and also fighting him near the wall meant a lot of his moves that otherwise left him far away... he was just right next to me cause he ran into the wall, and those extra hits also meant that despite using a low stagger weapon I could get a poise break).
I think he was my least favorite of all the remembrance bosses I've fought so far (rellana, mesmer, the tree thing, the rot one, dancing lion, and I've seen midra and strongly suspect I'll like him better). Though dancing lion fight has a lot of camera problems, if I didn't beat it second try it might have gotten on my nerves.
And I understand this is probably some stupid troll post, but there's also people legitimately complaining about the boss.
