This boss was designed specifically to make you fight him for hours, sweating and getting incredibly frustrated. His movements and attacks are almost unreal, and no strategy guide or "git gud" will help here.

The difficulty of this boss is set to max and he is unrealistically hard - okay, I defeated him so I deserve respect for that, but still, this challenge was literally insane and I feel sorry for anyone who faces him. Some of you unfortunately won't defeat him.

At least until the first patch comes out where he gets nerfed due to players outcry.

once i found out i can use torrent his fight became simple i felt so confused on the non dadgable charge turns out i was missing that little bit of knowledge

Actually, I'm known on this forum as one of the better and more recognizable players, and any Elden Ring pro will tell you that you don't use 'ashes and game mechanics'. It's either classic or nothing.

I agree with you, the boss is complete bs. Might as well cheese him. Worst fight in the DLC

His hit box is the worst thing ever coded.
It exists in 4th dimensional space.

Sometimes his attacks hit for 500. Sometimes for 1700. It's the same attack.
Dodging him is literal RNG. Sometimes the dodge works. Sometimes you get hit.
Same dodge against same attack.

I think one of his attack chains is like 7 attacks.

If you try to summon he will slam you into the fog gate as your summon completes, which knocks you out of the boss arena and unsummons your spirit ash. Not that it matters because you just took 90% of your health. Or 25%. Who can say which it will be? Either way you're pinned to the fog door and going to die.

Edit: His opening charge hits for 25%, 60% or 90%. Or sometimes literally 0%. You get hit and go flying but take no damage. Once in a great while your dodge that you've done exactly the same every attempt will actually dodge, but that's like rolling a Nat 20, so you hope for the 0% or 25%.
