The following dlc cannot be found

So I bought the DLC and started up my character, but when i saw that i forgot that I had started a new run and it would take me ages to get to the DLC i refunded it. Now the game isn't even allowing me to access my save anymore even though I haven't even played it. What is this garbage? is this how bandai namco tries to circumvent refunds? What a joke.

Sounds like an odd situation. Maybe it's because you got a DLC emote, and now have DLC content but no access to the DLC. Crazy, that you can't use the DLC items and content without the DLC.

crazy that the game can't just remove all dlc items when the dlc is uninstalled.

the base game installed the contents of the DLC, changing files and whatnot, you then loaded your character into the upgraded game, in effect, utilizing the new files of the game, you then refunded the DLC, uninstalling the new files, but forget that your loaded character utilized those files, making that character incompatable with the base game files.

Yes, but that is basically bandai namco circumventing steam's refund system. I should not be forced to delete my save or buy the DLC again just because bandai namco wants me to whether I played the DLC or not.

They could patch it so that if you only got an emote, it gets removed. Everything else from the dlc area, nope, if you got it aka played the dlc, you keep the save or delete and make a new one.

I am literally at the first boss of the base game. If im not even that far into the game how does this classify as "played the dlc"?

Most games are like that and won't even let you refund dlcs for that exact reason.

If i had known my save that I spent hundreds of hours on would get deleted because i'm being forced to buy something that I don't want then I wouldn't have bought it to begin with. Especially since I never even played the DLC..

it's not deleted just pick up the Dlc again when it's one sale. when you bought the dlc/pre-ordered it. you got a exclusive emote that is now bound to your save file you know this it was advertised as a pre-order bonus. you can't remove emotes you know this as well. this is why it's important to think before you buy anything in life.

you should if anything be thankful you were even allowed to refund the DLC at all.

most games give you a message when buyuing dlc that it's a non refundable item.

i boguht the DLC fully aware that this was likely going to be a non refundable purchase. .

People are saying the problem is because your character was in the DLC area when you uninstalled the DLC.

in past games DLC items could be had and you could be summoned into DLC areas as a phantom without paying for the DLC because the data was in the patch that everyone got.

it is still BS that From can easily fix but they won't because that is not cost effective.

I never pre-ordered the game. I got the base version of the dlc one day after launch and I was never in any dlc area.
