Dex/Faith viability?
To play the New DLC, I decided to make a new character. I've already made pure builds of every type (Strength, Dex, Int, and Faith), so I wanna try something new and make a hybrid build. the DLC was recommended for SL 150, so around then, how viable would it be to mix a faith caster and Dexterity build? My concern is obviously how many stats I'd need to level for that, being Vigor, Endurance, Mind, Dex, and Faith, maybe even Arcane

Sounds like a pure faith build? tbh impressed with the vigor though, feels like every host that summons me has used the Dark Souls 3 standard of 30 vigor (They get one shot)

I mean if you plan on casting, why would you level anything other than faith in that case? Dex doesn't increase incant damage.

Dex/Fth is very viable, but it's definitely better at around RL200 or higher for comfort of stat spreading.

Will going up to SL 200 push me out of the Co-op range, or make me too powerful for the DLC?

Dex increases casting SPEED, which is kinda important.

Probably don't have many of the blessings... which honestly seem to just not work sometimes?

I use sacred claymore and banished knight sword. Would not call it dex but it's not really strg. either. So if you have enough strg. to weild those, They kick azz. Better than the weapons i found so far, i just use a bit different stuff to make it more interesting.

I had 20 both in dex and strg and just leveled a bit strg to use the hammer. I had 60 faith and lvled to 65 by now.

I also have Katanas in case i need to be a bit quicker, like for a boss but rn i'm using either hammer, claymore or dual axe.

I started the DLC with 176 and are fine.

Heck no to both. :)

It's been fine. Obviously you won't be doing much direct spell damage, but being able to rot and poison those giant health bars is nice. I've found a few nice weapons with ok natural dex/faith scaling that can take enchants and have been alternating between black flame and ancient dragon mode depending on the circumstances. There is also some fun fire stuff (big surprise, I know) and it has come in handy when running into resistance issues. So, be prepared to switch out your kit depending on the situation and it works. It's not like dex/arcane where you can just faceroll.

Edit: Went in at RL147

At SL 150 you are not getting any value out of dex. You won't have the stats to deal damage but sure, if you want the tiniest amount of increased cast speed for your tickles, i guess?

Yes, very viable.
I'm using Sacred Relic Sword to deal with mobs and Hand of Malenia for 1 on 1. Milady (early DLC weapon) is also good.

Giantsflame Take Thee is still very effective

Quality build is usually the backbone of a balanced run
40-60VIG/40STR/40DEX and rest on fluff stats
So for a mixed caster either 40STR/DEX and 40 of INT/FTH is still good with all of the imbue magics.

A lot of players use way too much levels on Mind even on a physical character
I usually have 2 blue flasks to keep 1 in co-op and a mind of 10-20 so I can get off a good handful of special attacks

I was running a faith build at the start. Worked fine. I moved to a two handed STR build now. Not having range kind of sucks. Faith, like magic is kind of a cheese.
