Possible performance / FPS fix
Try running the game in borderless window mode and apply these steam launch settings:

-useallavailablecores -high

its what helped my games performance tremendously

My pc is:
R5 3600
RTX 3070

smooth gameplay experience on maximum settings after applying these methods

i only had frame drops so far in the lion boss arena that i noticed...

but, even in the base game, if i use rtx, i drop into the 40s in a boss arena like, say, godrick the grafted.

would this change in settings get me smoother frames wit rtx on? 3800x.

How in the hell does a Intel e-core command helps a ryzen system. Gonna try that in a bit on my 5600x since the game runs like crap for me too and come back to give an update.

Update: Actually made the stutters worse for me

right click elden ring on your games list, click properties, then add the commands in the window on the bottom, here's a pic for reference https://imgur.com/a/Ncap9KW
