unexpected kernel mode trap - Blue screen crash
Does anyone have a fix for this? I've tried everything that I can think of, and the game only launches if I turn Anticheat off and play offline....

so far I've tried the following, and NOTHING works.

-updated bios
-turned off Kernel Mode in windows security
-reinstalled anti cheat by deleting files & verifying through steam
-re-installed game twice
-updated drivers
-updated windows
-ran game as admin
-deleted all traces of anticheat in Red editor & reinstalled anticheat
-turned off internet & launched (works but I want to play online....)
-turned off NVDIA overlay

I don't understand why it's bricking my whole computer everytime I try to launch the game with Anticheat Enabled.

I had no issues launching the game until the DLC.
My computer is as powerful as it can get so I know it's not a performance issue.

has anyone tried anything else? I know others are struggling with same issue.
Thanks

Would love to know as well. Not even trying to play the DLC yet. I tried Reinstalling and the validating game files trick but nothing there either.

I'm also having the same issue, I've been trying to finish the game for my first playthrough since I only recently go the game, but as of 2-3 updates ago it crashed on start up after trying to initialize EAC

I have had this issue since launch. I've tried everything as well.

I had the same issue and went into %appdata% which brought me to the roaming folder. After that i renamed the easyanticheat folder in there to easyanticheat_old. Next time i booted the game up it generated a new easyanticheat folder and the game launched no problem.

I tried that and my game is still crashing. This is so annoying :/

As of today that is still happening on my end. Sometimes it works after I reinstall the graphics driver. Sometimes the game will work and I will have it great session only to find the following morning having the kernel mode trap BSOD occur again. Not sure what to try

what CPU you have ?

It would be more helpful if you provided error message on that BSOD. Does anything of this helps:

Open Windows security in start menu | App & browser control | Exploit protection settings |
than trying to turn off option "Randomize Memory Allocations" or "Validate heap integrity". I recommend restarting computer after changing option status.

Please return back to original state if doesn't help with game crashing, since these are security options (I don't want to go technical here - anyone with a little assembly lang./memalloc experience knows what they do).

You can try:
Uninstall NVidia Drivers with DDU, reinstall only recommended/core components via NVCleanstall
Install Process Lasso and elevate/optimize CPU usage (ex. disable efficiency/e-core usage on Intel CPUs)
Delete Shader Cache Files at C:\Users\<YOUR_USERNAME>\AppData\LocalLow\NVIDIA\PerDriverVersion\DXCache
Fix full Shader Cache via NVidia Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings -> Global Settings -> Shader Cache Size - Change to Unlimited (there are some other optimizations that can be made in this menu)
And/or

I have analysed and solved this issue yesterday with a other user.

The amount of causes is huge and needs specific analysis step by step to narrow Down the cause and solve it.

This is what comes up when I try to play offline mode. Thanks in advance.

In your System is Software running with virtual device drivers, this drivers are incompatible with EAC, you have to remove this Software.

It is also to check if the vds.exe is the real one or a malware.
