Meltdowns over customer based reviews

As someone relatively new to the genre I gotta say a lot of fans make me despise these games regardless. Why do so many people in the community feel personally attacked by the slightest negative remark regarding fromsoft titles?

Some people have embraced Dark Souls as a intrinsical part of themselves. This happen because these people have a empty life that need to be filled with something to have a meaning.

Because FromSoftware fans can't handle criticism towards their favourite genre. Their games don't have high reviews if you haven't noticed. Elden Ring made it public, and DLC ruined it completely.

Bamco poured a lot of money into social media managers to hype these games outside Japan and it worked too well.
This is the result- braindead twitchy morons repeating "git gud" forever, like when underground culture is taken up by soul-less mainstream drones who are desperate to fit in and be cool.

i mean i did give the game a negative review even tho i love it
cuz the port was bad at launch it got "Better" but never to the true potential of a pc port and i wont change review even tho i love the game, from software needs to do better their ports been ASS

but leaving a negative review cuz u got one shotted or cuz its "hard" in a game like this is funny
so many ppl missed the base features of the dlc which helps makes you stronger and are complaining why they die so much

I get it, but it’s to the point where everyone else feels obligated to type a whole paragraph justifying how much they love the games and are veterans of the genre, etc. before getting to the actual point, it’s kinda crazy.

Have you considered that a large percentage of the "critics" here are exaggerating, lying and trolling? The expectation of a fair review goes in both directions.

When a game has the reputation of being one of the hardest to play game on the market, I stay away from it. The best graphic in the world cannot make up for the impossible challenge.

Have you considered that a large percentage of the "critics" here are exaggerating, lying and trolling? The expectation of a fair review goes in both directions.

Sure, but every "professional critic" also gave it a perfect 10/10 (again). Personally I wouldn't objectively give my favourite game a perfect score.

we don't actualy BUT, can they just leave their review on review section, if they post it on forum ofc, someone will have diffrent opinion from them, because it a public space, you can't expecting everyone agree with you.
