Technically none. It is up to you how you want to approach it. Get the blessings, don't get em. Use summons or spirit summons or solo it ect. All up to you how you want to tackle it because scaling is different here

Alot of the long time souls fans will probably say something similar though

Not really. You can do every game soul level 1 with your fists but that would be an idiotic answer when everyone knows there are level and upgrade ranges generally considered "Balanced" for an area / boss.

lol it isn't
There's no scaling other than the obligatory penalty for using summons, enemies are just disproportionately strong to force you into hunting scadutree blessings.

If you are the god of dodge and have the patience a rock envies you could do it with zero.

Eh I'd say two or three is enough for the start.

It's a dumb mechanic. I'm exploring properly with my first character so it's kind of whatever, but when I play again with other characters it's going to be annoying going around and picking it up.

As far as whether it's helping or not, it's basically like wearing armor in ER or other souls games. Hell if I know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm at level 6 for the blessing and on *checks notes* Rennala i was dealing about 200 damage per L1 with dual wield reduvia at max weapon level 63 arcane with rotten winged insignia and lord of bloods exultation with the physick that boosts successive attacks and that 200 was after activating the buffs from all those. So if you want a doable final boss fight prolly just get max.

Edit: Rellana has 32k health on NG+ so a perfect run would be 170 attacks if buffs were upkept the entire time so i attacked her roughly 270 times give or take.

Some of y'all forget that you don't technically need the blessings to beat the bosses. Similarly to how nearly every FromSoft game is including their DLC's there is nothing stopping people from playing with or without similar items. Collect them and use them or don't. There is nothing stopping you from using them nor is there nothing preventing you from beating the DLC without it because of how the new scaling works. Level doesn't matter nearly as much as it used to for this very reason. You could probably go in at max level and still get 1/2/3 shot from the bosses, mini-bosses and mobs if you are careless. The reason the DLC has this scaling is so level doesn't matter nearly as much as it would in other FromSoft Games and their DLC's.

you're very oddly fixated on dying on this hill.

yes the blessings are technically optional, but you don't account that not every single player is some god at playing the game. the enemies and bosses deal an extreme amount of damage even by the standards of soulsborne titles and are very tanky. even bandai themselves stressed on using blessings to even things out.

anyway answer the question or stop trying to derail the original point of this thread (:

The first area from my own gameplay has 6.

All enemies pretty much do ng+ 7 levels of damage.

Never did. Everything I said is an answer to his question. I just never gave a number. I know there will be a decent number of people who have beaten the DLC without them and they weren't gods at playing the game and I can also say that there will be people not at the max blessing level who beat it and people who maxed it out. It is completely up to the person playing the game
