Dealing with DLC Enemies
I find guard counter being very useful on a lot of the enemies. On the bigger and/or tankier enemies idk. They kinda suck, but you can often just use the ye olde tactic of running past them.

I'm not trying to defend the DLC. I think it's kind a mid tbh, but it's more or less what I expected. I just wanted to post this to help people having trouble.

I find the server burps enough that it doesn't understand i'm standing there holding up a sheild...
sometimes in mid-string of attacks.. i'll have blocked the first few, then 1 will go through as if I was in standing neutral.


Sometimes even, I've guard-countered, landed the hit, only to rubber band back to before the gc was triggered... and take damage for failing to block.



It's a wild ride.

Thankfully the included shields in this game.
As I'd never beat it relying on dodge alone....
yesterday the timing was upwards of 5+ seconds,
from when I press dodge, to when the dodge happens.

Yeah. people have talked about dodge being unresponsive in Elden Ring. I thought I was just getting rusty (which is partly true too)
