I find it to be amazing! Go get it!!
There are some performance issues going around for some so you might way for a few patches before.
What's more Awesome is it will work at SL1 or SL900 the same.
New spells, but most of it is also pretty much the same.
The new weapon types they added do feel unique compared to the base game.
The bosses are... okay-ish... I'll just say the final boss of the DLC is probably FromSoft's laziest work ever. Even lazier than the Smelter Demon.
The big negative to this DLC is that the Scadutree Blessings is an absolutely unnecessary addition to the game that only serves to annoy the player. I generally dislike the term "artificial difficulty" but it's something you will feel in the DLC; especially if you're on NG+ going into it.
*Edit: Oh, and the final reward is super underwhelming.
