A fight like the lion puppet you can just get lucky and brute your way through it. Making players lay summons at the Renalla fight door ensures you are getting people who are there specifically for that fight who are dedicated.
It's the reason you can invade in the Elden Throne-Radagon corridor and the Malenia-Prayer Room staircase, and it's probably part of the reason we can deactivate summoning pools now. They can't remove those cause they're endgame bosses but don't want that sh*tshow again

I currently play with new character but when I played DLC
I was summoned constantly if I placed sign near boss fog.
