I did google it, i cannot seem to find the newest version of the mod, this mod comes directly from Nexus

It's not updated to be compatible with the DLC patch yet

The Coop mod is getting a full rework/rewrite so it will be some time until there will be a new version that works with the new DLC update.

Doesn't matter, the game still got updated and the mod needs to update too. They're in the middle of testing it so it shouldn't be too much longer

You don't need to own the DLC for it to break, the game version is 1.12, SC is not updated for that version, 1.12 comes with more than just DLC content; Balance changes, bug fixes, etc SC will crash due to it not working with those changes + Anti-Cheat was updated, so SC needs to work with that change primarily (I know it doesn't use the AC, but the game may detect problems if it doesn't adapt for it)

The mod isn't updated yet to be compatible with the current game version, it's as easy as that.

If you can get it to work, then great, though that's no guarantee it will do so, I'm sure we'll have it updated within a week or two.

as others have said, the co-op mod is currently out of date, you can see it on the discussion of the mod page, luke has made it clear they are working on it (and recently updated saying its going well), but its simply not done, so you cannot use it, simple.

you can load the old version and play until mod is updatet.

How do you do this?

For anybody that wants to continue playing with friends until this mod is updated (or wants to continue playing with mods on 1.10), simply downgrade the game using the Steam Depot and making sure the game has auto update turned off. DO NOT LAUNCH THE GAME AFTER DOWNGRADING. You must run the game using a different .exe.

!!! THIS IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE THAT HAVE AUTO UPDATE ON FOR STEAM !!!
If you do not have auto update on, I'm almost positive you can keep launching the game through the "launch_elden_ring_seamlesscoop.exe" OR "launchmod_eldenring.bat" with ModEngine.

- Small update -
I just recently joined the Seamless Co-Op Discord and the Admins of that Discord have recommended not doing this unless you are truly impatient. I made this post prior to joining the Discord. I will not continue helping others but the post will stay here for people that still want to go through with this, along with the video. Google is your new best friend.

Step 1: Download the depot(s) off of https://steamdb.info/ using the Steam Client with console commands.

In order to accomplish this hit Win+R on your keyboard and type "steam://open/console". In your Steam Client a new tab will appear saying "Console".
In the console type "download_depot 1245620 1245624 4173907165901381087". This is a relatively short first download. There is no progress bar and there's no way to see progress, but you can go to Task Manager on your computer and check your network status. Once it is done you will see -- Depot download complete : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_1245620\depot_1245624" (4 files, manifest 4173907165901381087)
The next download is much much bigger and will take some time. You will need plenty of space for this to be downloaded because you are downloading the entire game again (the previous version that is). "download_depot 1245620 1245621 4586391483365949586" will be your next command. Once it is done you will see this -- Depot download complete : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_1245620\depot_1245621" (57 files, manifest 4586391483365949586)

Step 2: Once the depots are downloaded, delete the "Game" folder in ELDEN RING (Example: "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\Game"). Yes, I recommend deleting the entire folder.

Step 3: Move the depots over to the ELDEN RING folder. In order to do this go to the directory at which the depot(s) were downloaded to. In my case it would be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_1245620" from step 1. Inside the folder "app_1245620" (this is Elden Ring) will be both depots. Go into each depot folder and drag the "Game" folder over to your ELDEN RING folder where it was previously installed. Do this for BOTH depots. Side note: If you do not have a ton of disk space, I recommend cutting them over instead of copying!

Step 4: Download the last working version of Seamless Co-Op mod. Install it normally. ONLY USE "launch_elden_ring_seamlesscoop.exe" TO LAUNCH THE GAME.

Step 5: Make sure you have turned off auto update on Steam. To do this right click Elden Ring in Steam and go to properties and then the updates tab. Change automatic updates to "Only update this game when I launch it".

Video tutorial: https://youtu.be/PQr45wz2UqE?si=ruVqrYVaD7vpXZqa

Use seamlesscoop.exe to launch the game and continue having fun until the mod creator updates for DLC. Have patience! Don't forget to show your support to the mod creator and buy him a cup of coffee!
