Questline Question

I've been trying to not spoil myself about anything and go at it blind, but I feel like a questline either halted or broke for me and i'm trying to fix it, if possible.

I found Ansbach in the Keep and gave him the scroll. He disappeared before i found Freyja and now I can't speak with him and continue Freyja's quest. I assume that her quest requires him since she directly mentions him.

I don't know where else can I find him. Is there any hint that can allow me to fix this quest (if broken) or just confirm to me that there's nothing i can do for it

Update: I aided Ainsbach against Leda also hoping that he will appear again, but nothing yet.
