At first, I thought Igon was way overdramatic with all the shouting at the top of his lungs that he does at Bayle, but now I completely get it. Bayle's attacks can oneshot you at 50 vigor, and the grab attack can kill you with 99 vigor. He does fire AND lightning damage and his attack speed is very quick, but the dodge timing is delayed. I barely tickle him with a charged weapon art from a +9 Dragon-Hunter's Great Katana. I've gotten him down to roughly 30%-40% health, but I inevitably die from all the BS. I've tried summoning Igon and a spirit summon, and letting them do the damage. I've tried doing that while peppering him with Radahn's Rain, and with poison arrows. Even if you're halfway across the arena and your summons are literally in his face attacking him, he sometimes will just switch aggro to you instead.

If he dealt maybe 10%-15% less damage, I'd probably be fine with all the bad. If he dealt 50% less damage and Igon's summon sign was outside the arena, this would probably be my favorite fight in the entire game. Bayle has so much potential. His music is great and the spectacle of his fight is amazing. But I'm probably going to have to spend a few hours grinding more levels out or finding more items to combat him with before trying again.

Has anyone found a winning strategy yet? Or maybe an item in the DLC that helps? (Besides the Ancient Dragon's Blessing, I'm not going to fast travel to the Priestess every time I lose the fight.)

I literally just pressed forward on bayle spamming R1 and healing. My level is 310. All stats to tank so i can piss off dex players(invaders)

Scarlet rot breath do wonder on him. Honestly my win against him was a mess, i used all my 6 flasks right of the bat but then playing defensively and grinding him with dot until done. it was a close call but it worked.

I killed him second try with a faith dex build useing the new lightning perfume bottle.If you use this perfume bottle with the rolling spark ash of war and spam ash of war on his cut off leg you can kill him in like 20 seconds. Useing some decent buffs like flame grant me strength and golden vow will help.If you dont want to kill him too quickly him just add lightning damage to whatever weapon u useing tho idk how well that will worck as i havent tryed it but he weak to lightning damage like anyother dragon.Then just learn attack pattern it really isnt that bad till second phase and even then theres worse in this dlc.

I beat Bayle using Fingerprint shield to block the breath attacks. Makes it a lot easier, I also used Mimic Tear and summond Igon.
