The DLC is hard because it doesn't take in account your overlevelled build because it uses a different leveling at the grace site with scubatree and shi.
I agree the DLC is definitely harder than ever. Try to mimic if u rly want to pass a boss if you're about to uninstall and do another lets player without it later, your call.

DLC land is different from the base game. its basically a sudo character level reset (your stats are lowered by like 70% in DLC land). if you read the prompts at the start that went over how the DLC land system works.
explore find Scadutree Fragment use them at the grace points and your defenses and damage will slowly go back up as will your summons defense and damage.

it makes a big difference once you get a few Scadutree upgrades in.

im still using my raptor talons i played the entire base game with and im wrecking everything in the DLC.

go collect some fragments, at lvl 3 or 4 blessing the game will be somewhat fair enough for the first area

1) Higher health through stat levels or equipment
2) Better armor if you have the weight capacity
3) Try a different tactic to see if you can find a weakness
4) Collect as many fragments that allow you to do a bit more damage and take more by exploring around
5) Try one of the new dlc weapons, they might help do some good damage if you have the resources to upgrade them
6) Call in some friends or use some summons, though I never use summons so I can understand if you don't wish to

You can do it by using a summon, mimic, or any that work like the new Black Knight. Then you may have some openings versus those ultra-aggressive bosses. If they don't get the aggro, you will lose. If they get the boss's attention, you may win. You also need to gather collectibles to mitigate the damage, but I haven't noticed any difference after getting them. I can manage it, but obviously, most people can't. When I join co-op, sometimes I see the host dying within a few seconds and most often within the first two minutes. It's an absolute carnage. Most of the gear is useless; I don't see the point in all that armor since the only way to survive is to roll. Tank builds are getting shredded, and heavy weapons are far too slow for these new bosses.
Of course, you will get a lot of "git gud" comments, as the community on forums is becoming more and more toxic and pretends everything is fine. But from what I see, everyone is struggling.

The year is 2027. FromSofts newest title features one of their hardest bosses yet. Upon entering the fog gate, you have approximately 0.0001 seconds to react to the bosses instant AOE one shot attack. If you fail, the game uninstalls and is removed from your steam account. People who play the game vent their frustrations that this is artficially difficult, not challenging fun, and unfair.

here you need to do on start of dlc, collect Scadutree Fragment, spend it on damage negation.

preparation before dlc get vigor to 60, use morgot great runes, go to malenia place get Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, buy alot of boiled crab, get Opaline
Hardtear and use it on flask, you can also search more talisman to negate some of elemental damage, This will alow you survive longer in battle allowing you to learn it moveset better.
