Inappropriate activity detected - Steam Deck

Like many others, the game on Steam Deck pops up this message and keeps you offline.
And no, I won't buy the DLC because "with the DLC installed the issue it's fixed".
Hoping for a patch soon, it always worked flawless till some days ago.

It's not just Steam Deck, I'm on Windows 10 and unable to launch the game online.
I can launch offline but when I try to log in via the main menu I get the 'inappropriate activity' message.
I just installed the DLC and it made no difference so don't bother trying that, it doesn't fix the issue.
Until they patch Easy-Anti Cheat this game is unplayable for me (no I won't settle for just playing offline).

People said EAC detects linux as an issue since the last patch so you will get banned. I dont own a steamdeck or linux PC, just repeating what I saw in other threads befor the DLC hit.

Not only in Steam deck. Arch + Proton 8 has the same problem.

I have purchased and downloaded Back4Blood just to see if another game that uses EAC will behave differently, and yup, I get exactly the same crash on the Initializing splash screen.
So it seems I can't play any games that use EAC, and I can't find any way to fix it.
I played Elden Ring for 40+ hours without any issue last year, on the same PC.
Something is conflicting with EAC and I need to find out what that might be.

Holy hell, it's always fault of these anti-cheats systems...
Hope we get "unbanned" asap. These stuff seems to strike honest people more than the actual cheater morons.

glad to see m not the only one. btw i am no longer seeing the proton eac container option either. i could have sworn it was there in the game properties menu in steam before the last updates for both elden ring and steam client. can be as much a steam bug as an elden ring bug. anybody have luck w/ launch opts?

i also got a silent crash on entering groveside cave. first time i have come across something like this. i don't even own the latest expansion.

steam deck wont join online games but still possible on my desktop and laptop. error occured wednesday after patch download

Having this same issue.
I verified my files and rebooted.
When that didn't work I did a full reinstall.
Still not working.

I am currently reinstalling after upgrading to Win11, we'll see if that makes any difference.
If not I am going to reluctantly do a full factory reset of my laptop.
There has to be something on my PC conflicting with EAC, but I have no idea what it might be and full reset seems the simplest way of removing it.

It's still bugged and everything I tried on Steam Deck led to absolute nothing, so... we have to wait for a fix.
