Absolutely not. If you can't beat him, you're going to get utterly obliterated in the DLC. If you do naked runs or something like that, then you might stand a chance (but at that point you should be able to beat Mohg at level 1).
Avoid the DLC until you're 150+ or until someone demonstrates a build that says otherwise is acceptable for your first playthrough.
Then use a furlcalling finger remedy near the fog gate and watch the summon signs pop up around you.
Drink through the pain.
I hit the DLC at level 130, but that's with a Dex-build Samurai, and not intended for people who get hit a lot.
Go get the Mimic Tear summon, or Black Knife Tiche.
Rank ether up all the way.
Let them do the heavy lifting against Mohg.

Pause.
Multiplayer.
Set Password (on the top-right)
Set MULTIPLAYER password.
From them on you'll only see the summon signs, and be SEEN by people who are using that same password.
I often default to a set of 4-6 numbers.
Makes it easy.

Done.
Enjoy, and good luck, Tarnished!
In any case my sign is down, I'll wait a few minutes but then I'm out
I decided to use another build and have progressed now.
