I dunno, I only play heavy builds in these games so I have no point of comparison.
I can say for sure that bleed builds don't work on a ton of bosses, including this one. it's immune to all status effects.
checked the wiki to be sure, because I don't use status effects except for fun. and yep, elden beast, immune to all effects. from insanity to bleeding, poison, rot. all of 'em.
which makes sense, some of these can be a bit cheesy, especially with such a slow target.
to me the point of this boss is that it's an endurance round, no matter your build, it's GOING to take a while because it has tons of health with no way to accelerate damage. it's also highly resistant to the cheesiest damage, holy, that wrecks nearly everything else.
