When is it "best" to start the DLC?

I am just wondering when the best time in the story it would be to play the DLC, I know the entrance is mohg and beating him his the entrance. But. Does the DLC effect endings? Does beating the DLC give you a new ending you can get? Stuff like that.

It has its own ending, but AFAIK doesn't change the base game endings. You'll probably want to play it before heading into NG+.

Doesn't matter what level you are when getting in there. If you don't get ALL of the 100 ish scadu fragments bosses are going to be stronger and tougher than Malenia. Some are even going to be faster and larger than her.

So explore every single inch of the map to find all of these fragments. You're gonna need them.

Right after you kill Radahn and Mohg.

If you haven't beaten the base game first you should do that.
