This dude is garbage. I tried watching a stream once and he has to intentionally be playing as bad as possible. He refuses to read anything and has worse skills than a newborn. It is infuriating to even spend a few minutes watching him. This is not even mentioning his personality and opinions

Not entirely wrong -- he's easy to relate to if you're a balding, cynical, unmotivated drain on the economy (he costs Twitch millions every year by not monetizing his channel) in his 30s with a chip on his shoulder who's been addicted to videogames all his life. -- as such (minus the balding part) I am quite an Asmon enjoyer these days. It wasn't until after the Depp/Heard trial though.

Hate to admit it but that's true. He looks like the average underachiever and his fans probably relate more to him than some good and proper looking young guy.

No one sees this guy as a role model but rather someone as someone who's existence comforts you when you are down on your luck in life (he is "average" looking but successful. See, he's just like me so I too have a chance!).
