Terrible enemy design
Why is every human sized enemy in this DLC has 15000 hp, infinite poise, crazy 1500+ damage and unstoppable attacks. How is this supposed to be interesting or fun?
As a melee fighters you cant use charged attacks, you cant trade and you have to constantly run around and just poke with running attacks. As a mage you do the same except with magic.
Incredibly annoying and just not fun. Maybe devs expect you to be lvl200 on first play through? It became a repetitive pattern at this point: I go through a castle with enemies of my level, for some it takes 4 attacks to kill them, they kill me in 3-4 hits, some of enemies attack in groups some are stronger and more challenging but still manageable and then I meet a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ superman who looks just like me but is infinity stronger, and Im stuck for 40 minutes fighting something that is essentially an invader with cheats. good job fromsoft.

Yup but ya you need the Scadu things to buff you the DLC is just bad without them.

Brother... You're inclined to find scadurtree fragments to boost defense and damage output. I have only started with bosses and their major areas after being at like level 8. I'm currently RL 274 in NG+ and without those fragments they'd still 2/3 hit me.

heavy jump attacker here - always interrupting them and normal enemies staggered in like 2 hits. Aim for 51 or 101 poise if you want to not get interrupted yourself. I love the dlc (ng+ lvl 200 though which i think is way too high)

I literally fought Raksha by learning how to parry... Literally spent 2 hours learning because my weapons couldnt out poise her, couldnt break her stance, even with LEVEL 9 SCADURTREE, HEAVY ARMOR AND 60 VIGOR was getting two tapped and couldnt exchange blows. So I went and got a bucklar, maxed out dagger and stood there for hours parrying her because my massive stick can't break her and heavy weapons swing too slow to knock her out of the air. Extremely annoying fight

Op you may not know this but there is a dodge button.i suggest you use this instead of deliberatly eating attacks that take half your hp .

Brother, I want to play a videogame and not spend 10 hours looking for shards that make my stats numbers bigger. I already have 4 anyway, do you expect me to skip the content and watch youtube guides on all skadutree fragments instead, or what?

The NPC like enemies are literally impossible to stagger, lol. My friend has two heavy hammers str build and he cant stagger them.

This is such a weird design, I don't get why they went for this. The game difficulty basically starts out 10/10 and then drops after u collected enough fragments. Makes no sense. It should be the other way around, it should start of medium diffuculty and then ramp up..

I noticed the same thing, another poster had a good observation that the balance rework in 1.12 touched a lot of different poise values seemingly in favor of enemy animations taking priority. They will likely change back in favor of the player after the initial hype wave dies down, their launches usually have these stupid difficulty spikes - whether it's intentional for branding or due to poor testing is anyone's guess

Ya screws up the flow of the game and just ends up pissing people off i was about to lose my ♥♥♥♥ fighting Bayle then got more scadu and nuked him but some of those things are locked behind some crazy hard boss fights to begin with.

all the games start out hard because your armor and weapon suck but then by midgame youre almost a god already
