Hey this is from Eurogamer on it:
"There are, however, several Furnace Golems (including near Charo’s Hidden Grave and on the way to the Cathedral of Manus Metyr) whose feet are protected by iron (its sacrificial victims seemingly imprisoned in iron cages) that cannot be attacked in this fashion. Instead, you’ll find that you can use Torrent to reach higher ground, and from there it’s possible to damage the Furnace Golem by throwing cracked pots directly into its furnace head"
I was also looking for how to kill it and I'm just going to try it.

Edit: It worked, but it has to be the new version of cracked pots, I used Hefty Fire Pot and aim correctly at the fire not at the face. Between 5 or 6 should kill him

This is the absolute WORST boss fight in the history of video game. This DLC is REALLY REALLY good, but I really don't understand why they decided to put this thing in.

Lanessaxx is way worse
Only the fire pots work I think (I tried red lightning, sleep, and rock, and they didn’t work)

Use heavy furnace Pots you basicly free aim them and throw them inside his Head you need to hit 4-5 and he is dead, if you hit it stunlocks him. These are basicly the easiest of all of them you need to go up the spirit spring and hide behind the Stone grave until he is close to the cliff where the spirit spring is, you go closer to the edge of the cliff towards the spirit spring aim slightly up not by much just a little and start throwing, you should hit everytime (if he somehow gets a flame barrage through, you just go back behind the Stone Grave for a until the attack is over) yea such a hard fight (sarcasm) takes literaly 1 minute to beat this one.

Wait how was I supposed to figure out? Is there an enviromental story I missed? Or a note somewhere?
Yep, there are some wicker corpses outside the Shadow Keep that have a note and some furnace visages.
