So the map is just... empty?
Once you start exploring the surrounding areas you will notice there is barely anything there, a few copypaste enemies, a few mushrooms and maybe a cookbook once in a while. Cerulan coast is devoid of content, more tedious and boring than a ubisoft game.

Base game had this problem too but never to this extent. What the actual ♥♥♥♥ fromsoft. My disappointment is immeasureable and my day is ruined.

Edit: Clownvote me all you want, this is not a troll post. I love the base game, DLC open world is just genuinely disappointing. If you are this far up your ass that you cannot see it then nothing can help you.

Yeah, the starting area was absolutely loaded with goodies, but anywhere else it's completely barren, pretty much the only place you'll find anything worthwhile is in dungeons or by killing the same copy paste world bosses. They couldn't even be bothered to put random crap around every corner like they did in the base game, can't be anything other than laziness, at least give us something for our time, even if it is a damn mushroom.

Actually true. but fromsoft fans are in their way to respond git gud to you so be careful

Yes it's actually depressingly empty. The hub at the beginning is way deceptive, and once you leave the starting area it's like they didn't even finish the DLC. Have you been to the Cerulean Coast??? That place is a wasteland of nothing for miles. It's insane. No caves, like 3 graces for the whole area, and nearly 0 enemies.

Skill issue. You missed tons of items and the hidden lore of the mystic boulder you passed

Exactly like in base game. Best open world rpg of the century, in case you missed it.

Nope tons to find

Yep, this is the part that's bumming me out. The world is beautiful but it's mostly surface level. Luckily the dungeons themselves are pretty cool albeit not quite as sprawling as I would like given the lack of quantity

Cerulan coast and the neighbouring wasteland is actually what got me making this post.
Somebody says it's just like the base game - its NOT. It's way worse in every aspect. You can ride for 15 minutes without encountering anything interesting, its crazy.

Don't be mean, they REALLY like mushrooms and butterflies

Open empty world, linear gameplay, on rails design. Anything you do has no impact to the world except killing NPCs and missing out on gear. The DLC is more of the same boredom.

Found a few weapons, a boss that kicked my arse, three talismans, some scorpions, an armour set, a larval tear, and some other stuff. Exploring is hard.

So just like the base game.

This was an issue with the base game too. Hopefully From never does another open world souls game.
