elden ring stopped launching after uninstalling cheat engine to play offline

I had previously beaten Elden Ring and achieved 100% completion. My account level was around 347 with around 60 hours of playtime. I then installed Cheat Engine to reach level 729 without having to grind for runes. After about 10 hours of playtime, I decided to uninstall Cheat Engine, as it was no longer serving a purpose and was taking up unnecessary storage on my PC.

When I tried to play Elden Ring again, the game would show a white screen for 3-5 seconds and then immediately crash. I considered reinstalling Cheat Engine, but the problem persisted even with it installed.

At this point, I am only seeking a solution to the white screen crash issue I'm experiencing in Elden Ring after uninstalling Cheat Engine. Any help in resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Cheat engine has nothing to do with why your game doesn't run anymore since it is not a connected app in any way.

Elden Ring was updated to version 1.12 shortly before the DLC was released, and that did mess up some of my mods.

Try validating your files on Steam. If that doesn't work, you may have to clean-install the game. This will not affect your progress or achievements.
