Can’t achieve 60 fps no matter what
I know its an old discussion going around but i wanted to put my situation out there and maybe a PC guru could help me.

Pc specs:
CPU: i5-13600k at 5.1 Ghz
RAM: DDR5 with XMP enabled at 6000 mhz
Motherboard: ROG strix B760-A gaming Wifi DDR5 edition
GPU: 6950xt 16GB
Game installed on samsung SSD 990 pro 1T
Power supply: 1000w gold from fractal
Windows 11

So what happens. Game runs at 60 fps (measuring/monitoring with steam fps counter on the left top corner) then dives to 50 for like 2 seconds (straight 2 seconds), back to 60 and stuttering all the time. When battling enemies with effects and especially dragons, fps drop to 27-36 for the whole duration of their spells. I tried lowering everything to low and nothing works although my PC literally exceeds the recommended by a lightyear. Even dropped resolution to 1024x768 and everything off and low. Guess what….no fps drops and stuttering still happen. I have the latest windows, GPU driver, BIOS updates etc etc.

Can anybody help?

Don't worry, you can't hit stable 60fps not even with a 4090/7800X3d on this game if you put it to maximum setting.... FromSoftware can't code ♥♥♥♥.

Everything is on stock beside the XMP 😊

I just saw videos of people with 2070 and weaker GPUs than mine with everything maxed out even at 4k and the fps counter never moves below 60, not even to 59.

1. Disable e-cores.

2. Disable ReBAR.

3. Turn RT to "Off".

Something is wrong with the in game frame limiter. It shows 60 fps or lower but from GPU power consumption and heat feels uncapped.

Try to limit fps to 60 and turn on Vsync inside GPU software.

How to i disable e-cores?? Am kinda new to the BIOS settings. Also, the ReBar it says a huge warning on AMD adrenaline when i try to disable it, and RT is off 😊

In BIOS, e-core options are usually under some advanced CPU settings. Just turn them off.

Ignore the warnings about ReBAR. It helps performance in some games, hurts in others, but mostly does nothing for most games. Elden Ring will drop frames in particle-heavy moments with ReBAR on. Definitely a game where it should be turned off. As a side note this feature is called SAM (Smart Access Memory) on AMD motherboards.

I had the same situation.
Before update, it was so smooth.
After update, 30fps.

I read other thread and cut the anti-cheat with toggle_anti_cheat.
It worked!
Though you cannot play by online.

I’m on Nvidia, but it should be similar:

Radeon Chill - Enabled, min max (60)
Enchanted Sync - ON
Wait For Vertical Refresh - ON
