I died over and over again to the lightning bs because my camera was stuck looking up at a coiling mass that never stops knocking you in a corner
Every other Developer within the Action RPG Genre has learned by now that the camera should zoom out when fighting big bosses. Every Dev except From Software. Considering that From outsells most of these devs, i think they should be held towards the standard of having a working camera. I want to fight the boss, not the controls.
Other than that its still a pretty solid boss, definitly better designed than most bosses from the main game.
I find it weird elden ring has invisible walls some places where your character is forced close to the wall, example the tents before u go to the castle, you get close to them you see through them, why cant boss arenas be the same? isntead of my cam being 1cm from the boss and my character, let it go through the wall and give me decent distance
here is your elden simp award. fromsoftware games are notorious for bad camera angles...nameless king anyone?
its not a gameplay mechanic that for some enemies the camera just ♥♥♥♥♥ itself
you are being purposefully ignorant. Lock on is used by most people in 99% of all fights.
When that same camera is locked it follows the enemy character model. When that character model is large and above you or flying and above you, especially in a corner of the arena it doesnt function as intended.
This problem has been a thing in all of their games...why they dont just pull the camera back against bigger mobs is a serious critic of their game design
More examples: Fire giant, and the new flaming giants. Would be alot cooler if i could see more than just the bosses feet...but who knows, maybe thats just your thing
so most people refuse to learn the controls, but I'm the ignorant one, SURE
Honestly have no clue how people are struggling... provided they have some blessings. I went in solo at level 6 or 7 and beat him second try. He is just a more elemental ulcerated tree spirit really.
