Y'all got some performance issues as well ?
Got a Rx 5700XT and a ryzen 5 5600x with 32gb ram....

playing medium on 1080p... Normal Elden Ring works flawless 80+ fps no stutter... the DLC is around 40-60 fps with stutters...

are there some graphic settings i can turn down or off to get better fps without the game looking like ♥♥♥♥ ?

stuttering like no other. crazy they didnt fix any of this before launching it

I'm having really bad stuttering. I'm sporting a RTX 4090 on a I9 13900k and it's virtually unplayable with the crazy stutter. I'd give it a bit for the next patch to drop. Pre DLC this game ran smooth as butter. I'd wager it's an issue with the DLC they'll patch before long.

Check your settings for Ray Tracing being enabled. Thats what it was for me, hadnt played in 1 year came back to 25-30 fps and found it on in the settings.

I have a similar system with a much older 3800x and I also get fps drops in the DLC. Hopefully this DLC area can be better optimized, because I just finished a fully playthrough in the main game and it was pretty mcuh 60fps with everything but ray tracing maxed (some effects still caused frame drops though).

4090, i9-14900k 3.2, 64gb ddr5
Constant crashing and bad performance

Pretty sure is a base game issue as I had seen performance drops a few months back and the game ran fine on the same computer since launch.

Tried everything of lowering settings turning off raytracing and multiple other settings. Moving to a different HDD. Making sure nothing is running. Just constant frame drops. Whatever changes they did 2 patches ago I think is the cause for it.

Terrible performance in DLC ..... :(
CamoMano Jun 21, 2024 @ 8:49pm
Had the same issues yesterday, but today the game works fine after trying a few things. Not sure if it was because did these things or if it was just a fluke.

- Reinstall the game & Restart PC
- Disable Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator in Device Manager
- Switch to Borderless Windowed

This game as a whole is not properly optimized. It's not terrible as some other crappy AAA games are but it's not great. I have a beastly rig and I cannot play with ray tracing on at all. I cannot play this game with the max setting pre-set in 4k resolution (although in 1440p I can no problem).

Fromsoft have never given a crap about the PC market. Just look at DS3 when it came out. Loads of stuttering in that game. DS1 was such bad garbage that the community had to make mods to "fix" it. How long did it take for Fromsoft to finally implement proper keyboard and mouse inputs? How many years? Yeah, they don't care.

They only care about the console market. Even then DS1 on the console was garbage too. Blight Town was just bad (in terms of optimization that is). All they care about is getting friggin paid. Don't get me wrong I love Fromsoft and their games but I cannot help but notice these things. Seriously, why does a 4090+I9 14th gen struggle with this game on max settings? It shouldn't at all. This is what I am talking about.

Not to mention this engine is really showing it's age. The art style is gorgeous but the graphics are not that great in some areas. Just saying.

someone doesn't know a single thing about development and is used to low standards in life...

I suggest people look into PC gamer performance Analysis they just release, there is clearly something that changed in this update, probably going to be fixed soon by the devs (bc yes, they are just human and its a massive update.. its normal to problems to pop up... and that's normal.. no one needs to lick their balls or to make death threats to them)

for me, running the game in bordless fullscreen and disabling the online helped a lot, give it a try

Performance is horrible.. 4080, i7-12700 and 32GB RAM and DLC run over 40fps in 4K.

Base game runs fine with VSync in 60fps.

I don't know what devs have done!!!!
