Perfectly sound logic actually. If you think it's so strong that it ruins your enjoyment, you have plenty of other summons to chose from, or you have the choice to not use any at all.

I'm all for players not having to be in charge of difficulty, it's a reasonable expectation, but in this case this situation is entirely self inflicted.

Stop using ash blessings if you're finditing it too strong, and reintroduce them once it's at a power you like.

Blessings are there to act as a difficulty slider.

Blasphemous Blade + Mimic Tear = Dead DLC. 1 attempt to kill the head boss. People complaining about difficulty in this game are funny. The game is as easy or hard as you want to make it.

It is the logic that you cry about the OPTIONAL feature to use mimic tear.

Use a different tear or none and that is it.
