Curseblade's Cirque

So, I farmed the enemy in front of the initial grace to obtain this weapon, which I really like aesthetically.
I upgraded it and started using it a bit.
I'm playing with a character set more on pvp, high dexterity.
After some use I was finally disappointed.
The damage isn't very interesting.
The weapon art is a very long animation that leaves you very exposed when faced with enemies who have a lot of poise or who cannot be interrupted.
In the end, very sadly, I went back to my old configuration: butcher's knife all my life.
A weapon with a very stupid and repetitive moveset, but thanks to that repetitiveness it is excessively effective.
What do you think of these new weapons with very long animations?

I was searching the internet because I felt the same way about it.

The normal backhand blade +24 with lightning does better damage output than the curseblade's all the way up.
Also you can't buff the curseblade in any way that I know.

The only good thing is that it procs bleed and with the successive attack talismans you can end doing somewhat good damage in theory but I think I won't use it much.
