Price Disparity on DLC?
If you are buying a fresh copy of Elden Ring. It's $60 On steam
If you are buying a fresh copy of Elden ring + DLC it's $80 on steam.

If you already owned Elden Ring, you spent $60 on it originally and now have to spend $40 to buy the DLC individually. Which means overall you've spent $100 on the game.

Just seems like weird pricing to me.

You should consider going through official key resellers, instead of focusing on Steam. I got the DLC for 30€, it's correct.

The cost of early adoption is premium pricing. Waiting for a bundle (especially 2+ years post-release) usually nets a discount.

This is not weird. It's been a standard in most electronic entertainment industries (DVD/Blu-Ray sets especially, but gaming has also been doing this for a hot minute) for decades.

Pretty normal really
Plus it has gone on sale before for $36 so that would be $76 if you caught then.

There is nothing weird about giving new customers a better deal by offering the game and DLC in one package. It's like back in December when they sold Elden Ring for £30 here in the UK during the sale. New customers got a good deal then. That is how sales has always worked.
