How to defeat Divine Beast Dancing LIon:

A step by step guide to help you defeat the big ugly dancing lion. You will find him in the castle on the left side of the map, he is very swift and uses multiple elements at hand as well as flying and swinging all over the place like some weird magic worm. Lets break down how you can defeat him.

Uh, change your build. The bosses in this DLC are massivy overtuned in terms of attack speed and combo length and they have a lot of attacks that prevent them from staggering in the wind up. Even with katanas, I could barely find a single opening to ever attack without getting hit back. Heavy weapons are simply too slow for this DLC.

True, think its quite bad. It was like this final few bosses base game, and continues it into the DLC. I went from a str build in base but then changed to dual katanas for like the final sections of the base game.

Defeated him with a bleed knight greatsword with piercing fang. I always went to attack when it used the wind/cold mode. The weapon art gave good damage until the bleed did the work. The lightning mode is like playing ds3 and fighting Soul of cinder with Pyro mode.. i dont, so i run away trying to survive until he uses ice or wind. The most confusing attack is the weird 2 spin + smash attack that if you get hit a little bit, you are basically DEAD (if you get hit be the last part), i dont even know how i survived against that one because on top of being the boss win button against me, it destroyed the camera, i couldnt see anything.

Now for some reason, this part get a lot of stuttering which makes it a bit of a pain in the ass since i never had to deal with such bs in the base game.

Upgrading Scadutree, using Talisman of Lightning Negation +1 (because I don't have +2 ), Lightningproof Dried Liver, and Rot Grease. Also, I only used strong attacks on him. Broke his stance three times. All of that made my fight against him easy. It wasn't longer than 2 minutes.
And also, of course, learning his moveset.
