is blackgoal knight the check??

i am getting owned so hard. he 2 shots me. i dont know what new game im on but i dont really have a save file i can do this with thats base game. i dont want everything to be insanely hard. im level 201 not sure how to chjeck what level new game im on but atleast a couple. i get blown up by him tho. is t he rest of the dlc gonna be impossible if i cant even beat this guy ??

You can easily stun lock him with Astel Dust so long as your FP holds out.

I suspect Blackgoal Knight exists to incentivize you to use Scadutree Blessings. I don't think he's the check at all, I actually found him harder than the first real boss.

optional = no check, you dont need to fight him, but hes a good measuring stick i suppose

Don't know about entire DLC but so far all of the elite enemies I've encountered in the first zone are very hard hitting, 2 shot is a given sometimes even 1 shot me if I'm not full HP. I'm on level 150 with NG+2, 50 vigor wearing loretta armor and dragonshield talisman.

dlc needs that ♥♥♥♥♥ game mechanics where you buff your damage and lower NPC damage, witch is RETARDED if you ask me.

Lv 125 here and yeah, that guy was fcking annoying. Especially when the 1st hit staggers you and you have no chance to dodge the second one. On top of that he's tanky af and you can't use your summons.

It is certainly doable tough and the attack patterns aren't too difficult. Took me roughly 40 minutes, but I think it also makes sense to come back to this place later after a few upgrades.

Lvl 152, 60 vigor, 63 poise armor, morgott great rune. Could take about 3-4 hits from 100%, didn't get hit by the crossbow volley but I'm assuming that would have 1 shot me
