ELDEN RING
Frenzied flame
is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Bricked my very first playthrough just cause i wanted to hear what three fingers had to say. Dont think i even wanna play anymore. All my effort or every other questline means nothing because i opened a door. There was no dialogue before hand that the three fingers has anything to do with frenzied flame.
Wack ass waste of time.

Melina doesn't come back and 'just beat melania' is not a reasonable argument. ♥♥♥♥♥ wack and i think i'm done playing now.

Not the same person, milicent is a npc found in caelid.
How is your playthrough bricked? You're locked into an ending, sure, but that's only if you don't cure yourself.

in order to finish that questline you must beat melania.
Again, everyother quest has tons of effort behind it. options and choices to make. takes couple hours as a casual.
Frenzied flame? No information, stupid little platform puzzle and a door. boom, you've lost melina. And are unlikely to get the flame cured regardless if its your first playthrough because its locked behind the hardest boss in the game.
dude chill, the frenzy flame ending looks the best anyway, and you can still get ranni's ending if you do her quest too

Melania is not a hardest boss in the game
malketh the black blade is much harder and mandatory boss

Not the opinion of 90% of the internet. You're in the minority.

Re looked up her quest, and you do not need to kill melania, just progress for enough in the area.

To be fair Melina pretty explicitly tells you not to do it.

You also have to be naked to open the door, so you cannot open it by mistake.

where did i say accident or mistake? I wanted to see the three fingers. and there are plenty of "no armament ahead" type messages telling you what to do at the door. I didn't want to be immedietly locked into some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ending i had no idea about. Didn't hear ♥♥♥♥ about frenzied flame all the way up to that point. didn't even know the two were related. i just wanted to see three fingers and see what they had to say. really wack system.
just get that ending, you will get an achievement. If you want, there are Steam achievements for different ending.

I order to get Miquella's needle (that actually suppresses the flame of frenzy) you need to get another needle from Millicent's quest and then "give" that needle to the rot bloom that Malenia leaves behind after beating her. So no, you can't do that without beating her.
Did not know that. Aren't you supposed to use that needle on yourself though? At Farum Azula?
