Does everything have ridiculously high poise break threshold now?
Cragblade+2h zweihander and I can't break anything in the DLC with charged heavies

I still think I'm gonna switch to something a bit faster for now
Great Stars user for the DLC, primarily focused on guard counters and charged heavies, and I really haven't noticed much issue with poise breaking at all myself. Some enemies have some high values, but not really a lot different than that of the base game I'd say. Standard enemies get poise broken in a single charged R2, a lot of the time in a single guard counter. Meanwhile, a couple guard counters/charged R2's or jump attacks and the omen knights (not sure what to call them yet, fought two in the Belrum Tower) get poise broken pretty reliably.

The Blackgoal knight though shouldn't have posture break, you should be able to break his poise assuming you're using a pretty big weapon or two handing a decent sized one, but if you are specifically looking for posture breaking for ripostes/critical hits, NPC invaders that function like the player have never been an enemy type you could posture break, not in the base game, not now.

The only real enemy i've fought so far is blackgaol knight and he had really high poise. Power stanced great stars could stagger him a bit if he is standing still. Not quite enough for a true combo but close. If youre next to him you'll get the 2nd hit 90% of the time but he does recover just before you can start the 2nd attack and immediately does a big backstep. What was more dangerous was the hyperarmor. A lot of swings with unbreakable hyperarmor and long lunges. He wasn't super bad and I thought it was fun but you definitely have to pay attention and not go mongo as a strength build.

I kept on him super aggressively and didn't manage a poise break, he wasn't particularly difficult as he's quite slow. Just very surprised, and it's been the same story with every other enemy that can take enough hits to break. I'll check patch notes like the other poster said, maybe they did something to Cragblade.

Looking into the patch notes, it doesn't look like Cragblade or Zwei had poise adjusted. However, there were quite a few poise adjustments in other areas and I'm wondering if maybe something is broken/accidentally overtuned

He was nothing
Wait till you enter first city
There's a normal knight who have infinite poise and won't stagger either plus have fast af moveset

i'm steamrolling the 2h knight one poster was talking about in the first city at RL70 +10 frost Zwei with giant hunt. Staggers after a charge attack and a single AoW.

Poise on a lot of weapons was nerfed in the previous patch, so probably a combination issue of high poise and lower poise damage.

I'm poise breaking everything with GUTS.

I think this is the key, I must be misremembering - thought I had been posture breaking NPC types in the base game. Thanks for clearing it up <3
