Mimic Tear make all the other spirit ashes just useless.

Fun. The mechanic is do something fun and not meta or super optimized. Experiment other spirits, some are very good ( not quite as mimic, but more fun). Consider the mimic the easy mode.

All of them. You are not forced to take only the mimic tear. In dark passages I prefer the small jellyfish because it provides the best illumination. Like a movie spotlight.

The undead, the puppets, the shield fighters, archers, wizards etc. etc. A different option for each target. If you want. You decide for yourself whether you want to play around or just press the button for mimic tear. Simple...

I actually really like the Dung Eater. Had mimic tear with my claw character, it was fun, and Dung Eater with my mage, and both took turns with scimitar and consumables playthrough. I think both are fun, but mimic for me depends on my vitality if I use that one or the Dung Eater. Next playthrough, I plan on using Tiche, but since I'll do axes, I'll probably be way more tanky myself, so I can play around with other spirit ashes as well. I love that you can find spirit ashes for all purposes and likings in the game!

Mimic tier is not good on magic builds, jar head guy puppet is amazing though.

I would personally say mimic tear is only the best summon if its/you are using a stat buildup build like bleed

if not dung eater puppet crushes all before him with his huge putrid puss ridden ass
I hear black knife is also good but I never used her

the only reason i don't use other spirits is that i don't have enough fp, and mimic uses hp while being fairly strong.

Dung Eater is my favorite tank. I'm also trying out some of the new ones from the DLC. The giant scorpion is actually really good for the price.

Tiche, is better in some fights. She makes the Radagon and Elden Beast too easy, for example.

In this dlc she gets stomped by many bosses. Mimic on the other hand is as good ad your build is. Put the heavy armor on and add some heavy hitting weapon, so your mimic will tear bosses a new one while sustaining a lot of damage. Simple as this really.
