Can't say for sure as I don't use any mods
But it might, since you are altering code not meant to be altered, and if it affects mechanics in ER too then that's also a second flag
Most likely they didn't tie any important mechanics to it when developing from the ground up, like Elden Ring recycles and modifies a lot of frame data from Dark Souls 3
Using something like Flawless Widescreen (or other unlocker) made ER a *completely* different experience for me (enabling widescreen plus unlocked framerate). I mean not even close. I completed the game and experienced zero issues with "mechanics" being supposedly tied to a fixed frame rate.
As far as getting banned - yes, since it uses a memory edit you will likely get banned IF you try to use online.
PS - I havent launched ER yet or tried FWS with the new patch...I kindof assume it will need to be updated.
