Why is this game locked to 60 FPS?
just bought the game with the DLC.

What age are we living in? We are not in the stone age anymore.

Why is it capped to 60 FPS? And is there a fix?

The engine is primarily used for consoles, and there are quite a lot of mechanics that were tied to 60fps

Though uncapper mod sounds to work well

Can't say for sure as I don't use any mods
But it might, since you are altering code not meant to be altered, and if it affects mechanics in ER too then that's also a second flag

Because the engine Elden Ring uses is Engine Locked to 60fps.

60 fps is plenty for this style of game

almost any mod used online will get you banned

for whatever reason from software's engine was locked to 60FPS until armored core 6 where they decided to cap it to 120FPS

Most likely they didn't tie any important mechanics to it when developing from the ground up, like Elden Ring recycles and modifies a lot of frame data from Dark Souls 3

60 fps is a pain. Use a frame generator to get 120 fps, that's the only way.

60fps is awful.

Using something like Flawless Widescreen (or other unlocker) made ER a *completely* different experience for me (enabling widescreen plus unlocked framerate). I mean not even close. I completed the game and experienced zero issues with "mechanics" being supposedly tied to a fixed frame rate.

As far as getting banned - yes, since it uses a memory edit you will likely get banned IF you try to use online.

PS - I havent launched ER yet or tried FWS with the new patch...I kindof assume it will need to be updated.

Its the way it is, most of their games are limited. If they ever give us a bloodbourne port itll be the same. best advice is try not to think about it and enjoy the game for what it is.

Just use lossless scaling and double the frame rate to 120 all this while being online and legit.
