For more context, easy anti-cheat will launch for me but after that it just closes out and the game will not launch.
:(
set in "launch options":
echo "%command%" | sed 's/start_protected_game/eldenring/' | sh
this makes Elden Ring run directly and skips the Anti cheat, So worst case scenario when the DLC comes out we can just play without online.
I would imagine you can do the same in Windows, if it doesn't work try changing the " / " for " \ ". Or do the change directly by renaming in the Elden Ring folder "start_protected_game" (this is the anti cheat) to another thing (example: "start_protected_game_backup") then make a copy of the Elden Ring .EXE and change the name to "start_protected_game" this will launch Elden Ring directly as well skipping the Anti cheat.
A small issue in this method is that the game doesn't close correctly. I have to terminate the game from steam
This worked for me, thank you!
This absolutely worked, thanks a bunch :)
?
Is it the same for windows 11 ?
Yeah, the whole line
"%command%" | sed 's/start_protected_game/eldenring/' | sh
If it doesn't work for windows 11 try changing the " / " for " \ ". And if it doesn't work I also wrote how to edit the executable to skip the anti cheat
I have space, every other game installs but i can't install Elden Ring Specifically !
