Should I play the dlc before getting an ending?

No spoilers but should I touch the egg or whatever before getting my ending? I’m outside of Melanias boss arena and bout to burn the red tree

you can get an ending, after credits you'll get a prompt if you want to start NG+ or stay in NG

Does it have n achievement?

You can beat the final boss of the game (after going inside the tree after the throne fight) then a warp point will spawn inside that boss area, and you can fast travel out and still go everywhere else in the game without doing the ending. The ending only triggers when you walk up to the "object" and press the button to "Mend" or summon Ranni. At this point you can back up your game save then reload the game 3 times to get the 3 different ending achievements. You can then load back up and continue playing before getting the ending. You could start the DLC with or without completing the ending sequence. If you are under-leveled beating those last 3-5 bosses first will help. (also getting the final boss weapons)
Then after beating the DLC if there are no further DLCs you could watch the cool Ranni or fire ending again before finally going into NG+. (at this time what ending you pick doesn't seem to affect the next game)

Sick, thanks man. I’ll get the that age of order ending, load my save and complete the dlc and get the ending. Much love
