No, transphobic isn't a game not having a trans character.

It's a trans person politely asks something like "Is so and so trans?" out of curiosity on a forum. and a bunch of people start unloading insults and commentary like OP here has done calling them a "disease" and everything else.
They don't just say something like "No, afaik they are not trans based on what the lore says, I don't feel personally it fits the character well in this narrative either" or anything like that which is totally fine.

It's about treating people like people, just general respect. That's it.

Most of those "complaints" you are referring to are:

1: Usually a few disillusioned people and NOT the majority by any means, the majority don't say much of anything.
2: People farming clowns, looking for attention, etc-- and these are things some annoying people do everywhere, in every aspect of things, your issue would be with people like that and not trans or gay people.
3: The ones who literally pretend to be speaking on behalf of or in relation to; but intentionally post it in awful sounding ways because it generates negativity and hate towards those people, as a way of intentionally creating more stigma against gays/trans/etc people.

Although that one was played for cheap laughs mostly from what I remember.

Then again, the main target of the "joke" was an insufferable rapy a-hole, so I don't know how to feel and would need to revisit that.

Maybe people tell these people off because we are TIRED of having people ask if so and so is trans, gay or a damn alien with tree tendencies.
It DOES NOT matter if a damn character is gay. We don't need every game forum swarmed by these posts everytime there is a new game or dlc.
