It's cool, just means ill be playing offline...
i said several times over my playthroughs "and this was game of the year? how bad was that year for games?"
The Frames are not capped because of consoles but engine limitations.
If you played Dark Souls 2 Vanilla back in the day there was a 30 FPS Lock. If you unlocked it and capped it at 60 Frames your weapons broke at the doulbe rate.
Yes, it would be nice. But more than 60 FPS is only needed in very fast paced games e.g. First-Person-Shooter and Racing games.
People that claim that "They need to cater to their Niché Hardware" are dumb. Period.
lol quit describing BG3 bro this is Elden Ring forums. I think youre lost
Honestly.... you are such a hypocrite or just naive.
Do you remember CRTs and TVs 30 years ago? What aspect ratio do you think these monitors had? Well they sure didn't have 16:9 widescreen.
PC games were insanely quick to support multiple aspect ratios, resolutions and are far more important to support than fps caps.
I still remember counter-strike at 640x480 or maybe even lower on a big 4:3 crt. Later we had 1280x1024 still 4:3 on a huge heavy monitor. Was quite a while until first widescreens came out and those were 16:10 and not your regular 16:9 these days.
Proper games supported all these resolutions. Then came the widescreen TVs and made 16:9 the standard over 16:10.
So whining about ultrawide.... well you kind of sound like those fanatical 4:3 people that refused to accept widescreen back then.
History repeats itself and some people are just backwards.....
I bet hes one of the guys that rated God of War with a 10/10 while giving ER only a 1/10. (Metacritic)
My man... They build/optimize console games then port them to PC. That is indeed how that works. Consider relaxing and not telling people they dont know whats going on before stating the obvious, while also just spewing bs. It is not our faults that you have poor eyesight. I can see up to 80hz or so with my eyeballs. It doesnt need to be a FPS to enjoy 75hz+
Cope harder.
It's a genuine failure on FromSoftware part and this is coming from someone who has platinum in every game they made, and collectively over a 1k hours gametime. 60fps was perfectly acceptable 10 years or even 5 years ago, however with upscaling technology and now even Frame Gen - 120 fps is truly not hard to achieve even in 4K and they really need to make their games able to handle that 120fps.
I used to play on 60hz my whole life. Last year i upgraded my displays to 1440p/165hz monitor and 4k/120hz oled tv and believe me diference is massive in smoothness on both of them - it's far better experience especially with G-sync added to the mix.
