BadSoft patch broke the fps unlocker, the game has come back to become unplayable for users with VRR high refresh rates monitors and decent gpu (watercooled 3070 here).
I was happily hovering between 90 and 144fps, awesome gaming experience, now the game experience is back to being sluggish.
Unacceptable way to play the game!
Unacceptable that texture loading is still borked in Leyndell, after all this time!
I was wise to not buy the DLC, before checking how the game is doing beforehand, 0 trust i n BadSoft ability to provide an enjoyable framerate and frametime experience to PC players!
Back to the drawing board finding a way to unlock the fps once again!!!!!
Change the review of the game to negative!
I'm surprised that you're surprised that a mod that relies on a memory hack broke after an update.
And why Fromsoft bad for breaking a mod that they have nothing to do with? I can understand the criticism for lack of higher framerates, but accommodating mods is just pointless when the priority is their own product, not some rando modder.
The Github page of the fps-unlock state that, if you own a G-Sync monitor, one should leave the vertical-sync setting as "use the 3D application setting".
But the fps-unlocker Github guide for G-sync monitors now does not work anymore.
To get it work, one need to force the vertical-sync "OFF" in the nvidia control panel, which was not the case before, i always had my vertical-sync set to "use the 3D application setting", so the latest patch did broke the render pipeline somehow.
Second point, the motion-blur in-game setting is the worst offender, this game cannot provide a decent visual experience with the motion blur "OFF", it has to be set at least "LOW".
And guess what, the motion-blur "LOW setting provide an even worst gaming experience than before, there is this feeling that the game is tearing and stuttering, feeling that disappear when setting the motion-blur to "MAXIMUM".
Third point, dunno what inside the rendering pipeline BadSoft changed, but the gaming experience with fps-unlocked in "FULL SCREEN MODE" is horrible now.
To recover the same smoothness feeling experienced previously , it is mandatory to switch the game in "WINDOWED MODE".
Once the game runs in "WINDOWED MODE", the frametime, framepacing match the high framerate smoothness feeling.
I want to point out it was almost perfect before with the fps unlocked, i really enjoyed the 300h of game play this game provided.
I can now understand the users complaining about the awful DLC game performances, something in the rendering pipeline changed, that impacted the game-play feeling.
Hope that the awesome modding community will sort this out, and as always, i will thank them and credit them for providing such awesome game support, as the fps-unlocker provided me a joyful of game play during my 300h spent with the game.
TL:DR
-Turn OFF the vertical sync in the control panel settings if using the EldenRingFPSUnlockAndMore_v1.1.0.0.
-Play the game with the motion blur setting at least set to "MINIMUM".
-Change the game rendering option to "WINDOWED MODE".
The Elden Mod Loader works as intended, with the same gpu control panels settings described in the The Github page of the EldenRingFPSUnlockAndMore_v1.1.0.0.
Stating that, if you own a G-Sync monitor, one should leave the vertical-syn setting as "use the 3D application setting".
The mandatory setting to get the Elden Mod Loader working, is to switch the game render to"WINDOWED MODE".
The Elden Mod Loader will not work without the game render set in "WINDOWED MODE", even when disabling the vertical-sync in the gpu control panel, as done previously in the above post.
It seems that the main render pipeline culprit change is the "FULL SCREEN MODE" and possibly the motion-blur setting, both deteriorate greatly the game smoothness perceived when playing, even if displaying unlocked fps.

-The Elden Mod Loader will work with the gpu control panel settings reported in the EldenRingFPSUnlockAndMore_v1.1.0.0 for G-Sync monitors.
-Play the game with the motion blur setting at least set to "MINIMUM".
