How to start the new DLC content?

nope, just kill Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood

You have to beat the Boss Mohg in his blood boss fight. Once you have and have access to the hand that is outside the object in there, you can access the dlc.

You just need to beat Mohg.
1. Meet Varre
2. Finish stormveil castle
3. Meet Varre again and do his questline
4. When you're finished you get a key item that warps you to Mohg's palace
5. Beat him
6. Touch cocoon.

Why do you have to kill kill Radahn? You can get to Mohg without killing kill Radahn IIRC? I'm fine I have several characters with everything done, but I am just interested as to why you have to kill Radahn?

That is the fastest method but also one that might get you curb stomped by the boss for being too low level. Your choice to make however.

Probably just for lore reasons. Miyazaki stated in an interview a while ago that both would be required.

oh, the main problem for me in Elden Ring is that I don't know where to go and what is the checklist "to do". That's the main reason I didn't finish any Dark Souls game.

I have from 20 to 80 hours in every Dark Souls, didn't finish once XD

I dont think you have to get to stormveil varre quest line starts if you kill any boss with a great rune that also include renala as the wolf is way easier then margit
