Is there any benefit to pre-purchasing?
I normally wait until I see some reviews before buying but I was just curious if there was a reason to buy early. Thanks!

That's what I thought I just wanted to be sure. Thank you. Still excited for tomorrow though. Everything I've heard so far has been great.

There are a bunch of reviews with all except for a few being near perfect

Not really. Unless you just want that gesture, it doesn't matter.

There is never one. the only reason is if you are absolutely sure you will get it no matter what. any "pre order bonus" you see for games are items quickly outdated or are side grades to in game items. every so often they will give something actually exclusive but it's never anything you'll run for.

Nope. But if you're going to buy it anyway in a similar timeframe, there isn't really any reason not to either.

you get preorder gestures, same with base game

pretty sure you get an emote called 'Ring of Miquella' but that is not a very good reward and will likely be given to you after the DLC similair to the pre-order bonus for Elden Ring

The gesture is going to be available later in the DLC anyway though. So you basically get it a few hours earlier than you would otherwise.

You should pre-purchase in case they run out of digital copies

I'm honestly going to play release day after a ten hour work shift, because that is how much I love fromsoft, even with my disagreements over the newest AC.

Eldenring is a damn jewel of a game, replaying it in anticipation of this DLC has lead me to both A discover a love of colossal great sword builds, and B find small caves and other places I didn't notice before+tricks to fighting some enemies.

Fact of the matter is, I've gotten countless hours of entertainment out of Eldenring so I'm buying the DLC on well the well warranted belief that it will be at least 75% as good as the base game and therefore excellent.

I bought the version on Bandai Namco site because I wanted the Artbook and the Statue of Messmer the Impaler. As for pre-order, Fromsoft has been pretty great with their games, with consistent quality. So I'm comfortable pre-ordering their games.
