Is lvl 241 over doing it for Shadow of the Erdtree?
I'm level 241 on my third journey. Is that too much? I'm not a great player. I'm not a very skilled or technical player. I have used online help from other players. Don't judge me too harshly. I enjoy mostly the exploration and discovery aspects of soulslike games, but anyway, I fight with brute force and defense. Which means I get in close with attacks with a sword and rely on my vigor's long health meter. My defense holds up until I drink a flask to replenish health. I also use a Mimic. Here is my fight with MOHG...

sry mate, but you need to start a new character and stop leveling at 69 cause thats the perfect level.

i get the feeling you'll have plenty of opportunities to be crushed

Heck no. Use whatever level you like, and whatever tools are available. Play the game how it's most fun for you.

There was a reviewer with a level 700 character that still had a hard time. I think the new leveling system in the dlc will be more meaningful to your stats than anything from the base game. However, your base game level will still be useful for meeting the attribute requirements of the many new dlc weapons.

I wouldn't have to start a new character. I just go to Rennala and respec my character.

That's insane!

I watched fightincowboys sneak peak review on it and one of the basic soldiers was able to delete half his health bar in a few attacks while he was at 60 vigor and level 300+.

There's also some buffs you can give to yourself I believe.
