VYKE'S DRAGONBOLT and faith?
Hello

I like using incantations in the game but in fact I don't really know how it works in terms of damage or optimization.

If for example I have 60 faith and I cast the vyk incantation would I do more damage?

Or should my weapons be in faith?

Don't really understand

Sacred seals are the ones that increases dmg with incantations. and your faith stat.
many of the sacred seals have an extra buff to certain incantation type "fire giant incant" as an example. you can see the "incant scaling" on the seals themselves increases with upgrade level and so on.

if you have a high faith stat, if you change your weapons to sacred just increases the wep scaling to faith, in which increases only the dmg of the attacks of the wep.

you would do more damage with vyke's dragonbolt yes because it buffs your weapon with lightning and looks very cool

if you wanted your weapons to scale with faith you can change them to sacred or flame art and the higher your faith is the more damage they'll do

just pay attention to the scalings on the seals and weapons, using flame art infusion and holy add faith scaling to weapons

I'm sorry to say this but Vyke's dragonbolt may be the worst incantation in the game.

I play double heavy greatsword with 80 strength and I have 24 faith.

In fact I use vyke to boost myself a little more in terms of damage and the effect is very nice.

As a result, the weapon is "heavy" for force damage.

If in addition to my strength I increase my faith my vyke spell will be even stronger?

or am I forced to put my 2 heavy infused swordfish in faith?

the higher your faith is (incant scaling) the more lightning damage your buff will add to the weapon

depending on the seal used of course
