And until the DLC drops later this month, we won't know until then it was worth the money.
It's Fromsoft, I trust them enough I pre-purchased the DLC.... most other companies I would have waited for a review 1st.
They have confirmed several times the dlc is very small
Most likely the same logic applies to the level design and areas (though to be fair it's very easy to beat DS3 DLCs since they had the worst level designs out of all Fromsoftware DLCs).
The bosses are tougher since DS3 DLCs actually had amazing bosses, but there were only 4 real bosses (and 2 "boss fights" that don't deserve the boss health bars to be honest) while we're getting 10+ here. I'm sure there will be at least a few great boss fights in the DLC. All in all those 40 dollars are way better justified than the 30 dollars for the DS3 DLCs.
those and reverse grip swords look amazing...
And that is just off the few videos I watched.
100+ new weapons, 10+ major boss fights, at least 2 legacy dungeons (probably at least 4 in reality), almost the same amount of music tracks as the main game. "Small" my ass.
