Ranni's questline issues

So I gave her the fingerblade, went up the tower and got the mark of death from her real body and when I went back nobody was there, Iji wasn't at his usual spot and I know what happens to him sadly
Was this because I attacked selivus on accident?

I think Iji stays at his usual spot before Caria Manor until very end of Ranni questline. When nobody is in Ranni Rise, you should head to Renna Rise which is nearby.

Iji moves around some, once the entire quest is all said and done he can still be found at his smithing spot. I've never lost Iji myself but I'm sure there are events that can make it play out that way. You're probably thinking of Blaidd but that's not until the quest is finished finished. Sounds like you still need to go kill Astel and then get into the upper plateau in Liurnia.

I went to turtle pope and gave him the mountian dew and I'm back to normal, yeah its just because I punched that big hat bum syphilis
